ABOUT THE PARENTS

Seed Parent (Mother): Red Crystallinum x NSE Portillae

Acquired in 2022 from Teo Le (@plantsaspire) and Elvy Kiung (@elvyplants) as a seedling.This plant boasts very dark foliage with reddish emergent leaves, and a wide sinus inherited from it's  Portillae lineage. 

Pollen Parent (Father): Variegated Papillilaminum X-One F2                    Acquired in 2023 from Nickolaus Andra (@tujuanbumi), bred by Kartel Daun (@karteldaun). X-One” is a pure Papillilaminum cultivar celebrated for its sharp leaf shape and intense sinus veination. It displays a metallic variegation that is especially vivid in emergent leaves, and it becomes more subtle as it hardens off. After a few weeks of hardening off, the color returns to the dark, velvety green that we love about Papillilaminum. The variegation of the mother plant has proven to be a strongly dominant trait, as I have seen it manifest in a lot of seedlings, especially bigger ones.
